Static control and cleanliness must work together

An ESD garment should limit charge generation without becoming a contamination source. Fabric construction, conductive grid spacing, garment coverage and grounding method all affect performance.

Choose the correct garment format

• Coveralls provide full-body coverage for stricter clean areas.
• Gowns and smocks support less restrictive production zones and inspection work.
• Caps, hoods, masks and shoe covers complete the operator protection system.

Confirm specification before production

Confirm resistance range, fabric weight, conductive pattern, color, size range, closure type, logo, packaging and required test documents. Sample approval is recommended before customized volume production.

Plan replacement and verification

Garments should be inspected for damage, worn closures and loss of conductive performance. Washing process, usage frequency and cleanroom entry rules should be included in the replacement plan.
