Cleanroom Guide
How to Choose Cleanroom Wipers
A practical selection guide for electronics, PCB, semiconductor and precision manufacturing environments.
Start with the cleanliness requirement
Select the wiper according to the process sensitivity and cleanroom class. Particle-critical work normally requires low-lint material, controlled extractables and clean packaging.
- Class 100 / ISO 5: sealed-edge polyester or suitable microfiber wipers.
- Class 1,000 / ISO 6: low-lint polyester, microfiber or approved blends.
- General controlled areas: polyester-cellulose or polypropylene options may provide better economy.
Match material to the cleaning task
Polyester provides good durability and low particle release. Microfiber improves fine-particle pickup. Polyester-cellulose offers high absorbency for general cleaning, while polypropylene is useful for oil and solvent applications.
Check edge, absorbency and packaging
Confirm the cut method, basis weight, liquid compatibility, size and packaging. Laser-sealed edges and double-bag packaging help reduce contamination in stricter environments.
Information needed for a quotation
Provide the cleanroom class, wiping target, cleaning chemical, preferred size, monthly quantity and destination. This allows us to recommend a focused specification instead of a generic product.
